Q: How do I choose an attorney to manage the closing of my property?

When you are purchasing property in a planned development, there is a good chance that the closing attorney has already been selected by the developer. This is done to simplify the closing process for each sale since the selected attorney is familiar with the property you are purchasing. If you decide to purchase property within a planned development, and wish to have a property title search performed, we recommend engaging a different attorney than the one selected by the developer for closings.

When you are purchasing land outside of a planned development, we always recommend that you as the buyer choose the attorney that will manage the closing.
