Q: Why does an attorney need to be involved with my purchase of Nicaragua property?

In Nicaragua, the sale of real property requires notarization of the public sale deed prior to registration in the new owner's name, and in Nicaragua, all licensed attorneys are also appointed public notaries. This requirement applies to all sales of property that will be registered, regardless if the new owner is a Nicaraguan national or foreigner.
